Hair Loss and Thinning Hair
Concerned about Hair Loss, Fine and or Thinning Hair? We have a selection of products to assist.
Androgenic alopecia or hair thinning in men is the cause of more than 95% of male pattern baldness. Characterised by hair receding and or a thinning crown, with balding affecting roughly 8 million men in the United Kingdom.
By the age of 35 almost 40% of us will have noticed some degree of hair thinning and 50% by age 50. Methods of countering balding include herbal preparations and men's hair loss products containing zinc, magnesium, iron and vitamin E. Minoxidil, a lotion or foam which, for reasons unknown, slows down hair loss and can even encourage hair regrowth. Finasteride (Propecia), an oral drug treatment which prevents testosterone converting to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) to prevent hair thinning. Finally, a more expensive option is a hair transplant also known as FUE.
Niven & Joshua would always advocate asking your GP for advice before opting for any of the above, but below you will find a selection of products to help prevent hair loss, and add volume to fine and or thinning hair.
Final word: don't worry - balding happens to most men and some studies have shown the opposite sex prefer a man with a shaven head. There are plenty of famous celebrities who carry baldness with aplomb; Bruce Willis for one.
