The Merkur Futur chrome safety razor posses the patented 6-settings fine adjustment Merkur Futur System* for optimum shaving closeness with soap, cream or foam. Produced according to exacting standards in Solingen, Germany this traditional safety razor will provide a tailored, gentle & close shave. Built to last a lifetime.
*Setting '1' provides a gentler shave for normal to sensitive skin(less blade is exposed), through to setting '6' which provides a more tailored and close shave for the lengthier beard(more blade is exposed).
Contains: Operating instructions and one blade. Boxed.

23 May 2011Simply the most trouble free, closest and forgiving razor I've ever owned. Ordered this from N&J at 10am Friday 6th May 2011, Arrived ( N&J Standard Delivery) 9am Saturday 7th May 2011. Fantastic service, superb product.

A Very Happy Man
03 May 2011This is a great product, solid build and a joy to use. Having returned to single blade shaving after many years of multi-blade, its so much better. Buy a cheap razor by all means to see if you like single blade shaving, then get a quality one like this. I must also mention the top rate service by Niven & Joshua, after a slight hiccup with my purchase (one wrong item sent) they sorted the problem out quickly and professionally. I will continue to use and recommend this company.

The best ...ever!
11 December 20104 days growth were waiting for this razor when the postman delivered my new Futur. I'm no novice to wet shaving having done so since forgetting my electric razor on a camping holiday 25 years ago!
Over the years I have tried all the usual suspects thinking that the more blades, aloe vera strips and vibrating handles I had the closer my shave would be ...wrong!
One quality razor and proper soap and brush was all I needed, hey presto my best shave ever!
Let the weight of the razor do the work and you'll never go back!
If you only teach your son one thing, teach him to shave properly with something as good as this.

The Futur is here!
25 March 2010This is my 3rd DE razor and it's a joy to use.
The weight and bulk have required a slight change in technique, the range of adjustment is broad so you can set it from very mild to highly aggressive, basically it performs as well as it looks.
I have seen comments about this razor being slippery or dangerous especially when changing the blade or adjustment mid shave. All I can say is; nonsense! If you have wet soapy hands dry them before you try to adjust and the blade changing may be unique but it's not dangerous, well no more than with any other razor that takes DE blades.
