When it comes to experts, Gillette is the world leader in men 's razors. Their latest incarnation, the Gillette ProGlide is second to none in terms of close shaving with minimal irritation. The 5-bladed razor was subject to years of research and millions of dollars in research and innovation, until it was released.
While some prefer the more traditional and wildly popular Mach 3 razor, with 3-blades, there is no disputing that whatever razor and blade you choose you will be well on your way to the best shave possible.
Gillette History: Gillette is the world leader in cartridge safety razors. Founded in 1901 as the American Safety Razor Company, King Camp Gillette introduced his first razor in 1903 after changing the companies name to the Gillette Safety Razor Company and successfully patenting his razor on December 3rd 1901.
The Gillette company grew quickly but it wasn't until 1918, when the United States entered World War I and Gillette provided all American soldiers with a razor, paid for by the US government that Gillette really blossomed. Returning service men swore by their trusty Gillette razor, continuing to use it from then forth.
The company continued to grow throughout the 20th century largely due to its innovation and introduction of the latest shaving techniques, providing men with better shaving experiences. Several inventions and patents later The Gillette Company was merged into Procter & Gamble in 2005.
P&G continue with Gillette's success, by launching their greatest shaving razor to date; the Gillette Fusion ProGlide with a host of celebrity endorsements from tennis player Roger Federer to rugby star Jonny Wilkinson. Gillette continues to be the cartridge razor of choice across the planet due to the comfortable shave it provides.
